Adding and changing a horizontal rule

By default, horizontal rules are centered, 3-pixels high, and extend across the web page even if it is resized.

To add a horizontal rule to a page:

1 Position the cursor where you want the horizontal rule to appear.
2 Choose Insert > Horizontal Rule.

To change the appearance of a horizontal rule

1 Select the horizontal rule.
Its properties appear in the Property inspector.
2 Choose from the following options:
Specify the width and height of the rule in pixels, or specify the width as a percentage of the available width.
Choose an alignment option or use the browser default, particularly if your rule is narrower than the page width.
Turn on Shading for a three-dimensional effect.
